Neal Bowen, is an active studio bassist, church musician, bandleader, and private instructor in the mid-south metro area. Neal has played and/or recorded with a number of artists with styles ranging from pop/rock and funk to straight ahead jazz and country. Some notable names include: Jimi Jamison, Jackie Johnson, Tony Black, Shawn Lane, The Gamble Bros Band, Scott Sudbury, Carl Wolfe, and Rick Latham just to name a few. Whether you need fretted, fretless, or upright bass, Neal is available for session work or touring, schedule permitting. Neal also fronts his own jazz trio, NB3, performing and providing music for various engagements throughout the midsouth.
